Terms & Conditions

Please read these conditions carefully before using the StageLamps website or ordering products. By using the StageLamps website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these conditions. It is not possible to order any products from the site without first agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

These terms and conditions ("Conditions") shall govern the agreement between The Stage Group Limited ("StageLamps", "us" or "we") and the company or organisation applying for the provision of the Goods or Services ("you").   StageLamps is a trading name of The Stage Group Limited, Registered in Edinburgh (SC496618). 1. Your Account

By creating an account, or ordering from StageLamps you warrant that;

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that your password is kept confidential and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner. 

2. Contract

After placing an order you will receive an eMail acknowledging your order has been received. This does not indicate your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes your offer to buy products from us and is subject to acceptance. We will confirm such acceptance to you by eMail (the "Dispatch Confirmation"). 

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. When ordered via the website, the Contract formed relates only to those products confirmed in the Dispatch Confirmation. We are not obliged to supply any other Product(s) which may have been part of your initial offer until the dispatch of the same have been confirmed in a separate Dispatch Confirmation.

Products will not be dispatched until payment is received in full unless a credit account is established in advance. All goods remain property of The Stage Group Ltd until paid for in full.

3. Access to stagelamps.co.uk

We make the website available "as is" and without warranty. Whilst we endeavour to ensure the site is readily available at all times due to the nature of the internet it is impossible to guarantee availability of the website.

Also, your access to the website may be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such restriction.

StageLamps grants you a limited license to access and make use of this website. You agree you will not download (other than as required for access) or re-distribute any of the content on this website. This license prohibits any collection and use of product listings, descriptions or pricing information; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. 

You may link to stagelamps.co.uk but must not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of stagelamps.co.uk without express written consent. 

You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way. You understand that you, and not StageLamps, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and you must use the website for lawful purposes only. 

You must not use the website for any of the following: for fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity; to send, use or reuse any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or objectionable; or which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any "spam" ; to cause annoyance or inconvenience.

Any unauthorised use terminates the permission or license granted. 

4. Products and Pricing

We make every effort to display the products accurately however goods may not always be exactly as pictured. Due to variations in computer hardware and monitor calibration we cannot guarantee that colours displayed on your monitor will accurately reflect the colour of the Product.

Despite our best efforts it is always possible that some of the Products listed on our site may be priced incorrectly or have incorrect information associated with them. If we discover any error in how our products are listed we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of cancelling the order without penalty or placing a new order subject to the new specification and price.

If we do not receive a response from you to such enquiries within 48 hours, the order will be considered to be cancelled. 

All prices are shown exclusive of VAT which will be calculated at check out. Delivery charges will be charged in addition, and these are also subject to VAT. Your Delivery Confirmation will detail any applicable charges.

5. Availability and Delivery

Dispatch times may vary according to availability. StageLamps will endeavour to deliver any order within a reasonable period of time, usually the following day. However, no guarantee or warranty is given in relation to delivery date. All dates given are approximate only and do not form part of the contract. Delivery may be subject to postal delays or events of force majeure for which we shall not be responsible. StageLamps accept no liability for any loss, consequential or otherwise, arising from any delay.  Please note that delivery addresses cannot be changed once the order has been received by us.

6. Risk and Title

Risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer on delivery. The Title in the Goods shall not pass to the Buyer until payment has been made by the buyer in full of all sums owing by the buyer to StageLamps.

7. Defective Goods and Returns Policy

Any alleged defects must be notified to StageLamps within 72 hours of delivery. Any defective goods must be retained for inspection, along with all packaging. Complaints in respect of alleged defects will not be grounds for the customer to withhold payment and give no right of set-off against any monies owed to StageLamps.

You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession. Any returned goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. Credit will not be issued for returned goods which, in the opinion of StageLamps are in an un-saleable condition. Goods must be returned unused and complete with original packing materials.

Goods supplied in accordance with a Contract cannot be returned without prior written consent of StageLamps. In any event StageLamps reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 25% of the original order value to cover its costs where items are returned or declined. 

Under no circumstances will StageLamps be liable for;

(i) any goods considered to be damaged in transit unless such damage is reported to us within 48 hours of the receipt of goods.
(ii) defects or damage resulting from wear and tear, neglect, improper use by the buyer or failure of the buyer to comply with manufacturers instructions.
(iii) any goods which have been adapted, altered or repaired.
(iv) the suitability of goods for any particular purpose whether or not the purpose was communicated to StageLamps

8. Events Outwith our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under any Contract that is caused by events outside of our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, severe weather, explosion, war or terrorist act, industrial dispute or acts of Government. 

9. Deletion of Terms

If any of these terms and conditions or any provision under a Contract are determined by any competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable to any extent, such condition, provision or term will to that extent be severed from the remaining provisions and terms and conditions which will continue to be valid.

10. Our Right to Amend These Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. You will be bound by the terms and conditions in force at the time you order products from us unless any change to those terms and conditions is required to be made by law or if we notify you of the change prior to Dispatch Confirmation.
